Starting an Online Business: Where to Start?

Appraisals are coming in at a steady rate - glad for that - we all thought the Hawaii market was going to slow down and we'd be suffering for a while.

I've been looking at this online business site, IncAnswers.com because they have some great articles about starting your own e-business. Starting an ebusiness, doing ecommerce is not as difficult or out of reach as you might think.

Someone with average computer skills CAN do it if they just focus, learn something and get started with an online website selling a product. Preferably an eproduct - electronic product. E-books, podcasts, software program, digital images, digital videos, information, a forum, a membership site - all of these are good examples of eproducts you can sell online.

Why online business? You have no overhead. Your server costs at Godaddy.com can be just $75 per year to host your website with more server space and bandwidth than you could ever use each month. The learning curve is steep - however, there are millions of places to learn whatever online skill you need to learn - just look.

IncAnswers.com will be coming out with a 33 lesson EBusiness Course to show you everything you need to know about starting, incorporating and marketing your online business. Looks like a few months away from a ready date - but probably worth the wait.

In the meantime -start researching about online business and how you can get there. In a couple months you'll be ready for the course - and once you master that ebusiness course there will be a Pro Course ready for you to tackle.

Here's an article on starting an online ebusiness during a recession and here's one about making a lot of money during a recession.

Online business is not beyond your capabilities. I've dabbled in it before and if I wasn't getting so many orders for appraisals here in Hawaii I'd be going headfirst into it. If you've nothing else going on in your life - do this - it could make a huge difference in 1 year of effort.

In the meantime - if you have any referrals for appraisals for me - I'll take them!

Aloha!

When I'm not working as a State certified Hawaii appraiser here on Oahu I'm taking video or photos at some of Hawaii's amazingly beautiful locations. Here is a small group of photos I've taken of Hawaii... many more to come!

The Weekend is Coming... Need an Appraisal in Hawaii? I have time on Saturday!

There's time to do a Hawaii appraisal anywhere on Oahu this Saturday if you need it. Give a call as soon as you can and Christian will put it on the schedule. If you're ever wondering - can he do a Hawaii appraisal on short-notice? Most of the time the answer is YES!

Christian has a couple of staff on Oahu, and then one each on Kauai, Big Island and Maui islands. If you need an appraisal on short-schedule - just give him a call and if he can't do it he'll be able to find you someone that can that he trusts. Referrals in the Hawaii appraisal business are like gold because Hawaii is a very small place. Hawaii appraisers bump into each other all the time - sometimes appraising the same house!

They get to know each other and refer out business that they just can't handle but that they need done in a very professional way because it will reflect on the person sending the referral. An appraiser can't afford to have someone botch a job for a client he referred to them as you might have guessed.

So - it's Thursday in Hawaii right now... if you give a call by Friday around noon there is definitely time to get your appraisal order in for Saturday. Give a call!

Aloha A Hui Ho!

Need Hawaii Land Appraisal? Big Island? Kauai? Maui? Oahu? Lanai? Molokai?

Hawaii has limited land available, but that being said there might be more land plots available than houses on the market! Land appraisal is a common need especially on the Big Island of Hawaii where buyers are looking en masse to find the perfect plot of land to build their Hawaii dreamhome.

Hawaii land appraisals are done by Hawaii appraisers on a daily basis and are usually done within a couple of days. If you need a parcel of Hawaii land appraised Christian Van Dyck at Real Time can help you. Give him a call at the contact information found in the posts below.

Remember, Hawaii time is typically 3 hours behind California time and 6 hours behind east coast USA time.

All Hawaii appraisals done by well-qualified appraiser, Christian Van Dyck of Real Time Appraising Services in Honolulu, Hawaii and with staff on Big Island, Maui and Kauai.

Appraisal in Hawaii... How to Choose?

Ordering an Appraisal in Hawaii to be performed on your residential property is something everyone that finances, and even those that don't - will want to do. You can't "chance-um" on something as valuable as a home in Hawaii. Hawaii appraisals are done everyday by some of the most well known appraisal services.

1. Find a Hawaii appraisal service that is constantly doing appraisals, daily. There are some fly by night organizations that are not in it for the long-haul. Apparently Hawaii is seen as a market that can be quickly owned by outside interests in the appraisal business. This might be true, but hardworking Hawaii appraisers are going to try hard not to let that happen. Find someone that is recommended by someone you know. If you don't know anyone I'd recommend my friend, Christian Van Dyck. He's worked his way up through the system and is now a licensed Hawaii property appraiser in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. He has staff on Maui, Kauai, and Big Island to handle your appraisal needs there as well. Sometimes he'll travel the other islands himself to help them handle doing the appraisals.

2. Appraising your property in Hawaii takes someone to pull together a large number of resources in order to give a value to your Hawaii property. You don't want the dumbest fish in the pond - and they're out there, believe me, I've worked with them before on Oahu.

3. There are many appraisers in Hawaii and if you don't know one personally you couldn't expect to choose a good one by chance. One of the best ways to go about finding an appraiser is to send an email to a few and see how quickly they respond. See how customer service oriented they seem to be. Are they willing to jump through hoops for you? They should be. An appraisal can run almost $1000 USD. An appraiser should do everything possible to make you feel comfortable, secure and safe about hiring him or her. If you don't know any Hawaii appraisers, here's one I recommend: Christian Van Dyck, (info@realtimehawaii.com).

Yes, this is an ad basically for my friend Christian in Oahu, Hawaii who I realized doesn't have any kind of web presence at all. I built this site to hopefully find some good people online that are looking to have appraisals done in Hawaii - any island, that would help him out. He's a good person and his business is growing because he's such a people person and already made many contacts in the industry in person. Hawaii is a tight-knit group. Christian has found a group of people he calls family now and hopefully I can add to that through these online messages.

If you need a Hawaii appraisal - why not consider Christian Van Dyck at Real Time Hawaii Appraisals, based in Oahu, Hawaii but with satellites on Maui, Kauai and Big Island for all your appraisal needs.
